I have spent most of my adult life in Food Service. In one form or the other. This was not what I planed when I was in school. To the point this was my last choice for my lifes work.
It has been good to me . I started out working in a movie theather behind the candy counter when I was 15 years old. From there to cooking in a cafe to wating tables when I was 18.
In 1975 I stared as a sald prep then was promoted to 2nd Cook to night Baker for a Food Servive Contracter in Lawton Oklaoma in 1975 .
In 1980 I moved to Oklahomas City where I worked for Childerns Hospital untill July of 1993.
I then move to Little Rock ,Arkansas to take a position with Baptist Medical Center as Food Service Supe...Expand for more
rviser of production in the kitchen . We serve about 700 Paients a day and 3000 meals in the Cafiteria,about 500 satlite meal are sent out a eash day. We do catering in group of 2 to 450.
September 2003 I was promoted to Pastry Chef. As baking has been my love and my passion for almost 30 years this is been my most enjoyable postion to date. I am able to use my learned skills to do exciting things each day.
Over the years I have worked in other fields for a period of time from asst mgr.of a motel with a dinnieg room and bar to accounts payable clerk for Sherden Moter Hotel in Texas. But I always went back to Food Service.
As I have been divorced for 24 years it has provided me with a good living.
